Evaluation of the Trial of the National Disability Insurance Scheme
The National Institute of Labour Studies (NILS), at Flinders University, is leading a consortium that will evaluate the trial of the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS). This independent evaluation has been commissioned by the Australian Government Department of Social Services (DSS).
The NILS-led team will monitor and evaluate the experience of participants, and their families and carers, service providers and their workforces in the trial sites of the Australian Capital Territory, Victoria, New South Wales, Northern Territory, South Australia and Tasmania.

Focus groups with People with disability or mental health condition who are not participating in the NDIS
The evaluation team are seeking people who live where the NDIS is being trialed but have not joined the NDIS to take part in focus groups.
The focus groups will be conducted in the NDIS trial sites in New South Wales, South Australia, Tasmania, Victoria and the ACT from September 2015.

NDIS Survey - on-line and telephone surveys
The NDIS Survey and the NDIS Survey for Families and Carers are underway. Invitations are being sent out via email with login details to those who have registered to complete their survey on-line.
Invitation to register and take part in the NDIS Survey
The second phase of registration to take part in the NDIS Survey and NDIS Survey for Families and Carers has started. NDIS participants who have received a letter of invitation and registration form can register by returning the form, completing an on-line registration or by telephone.
