Evaluation of the Trial of the National Disability Insurance Scheme

The National Institute of Labour Studies (NILS), at Flinders University, is leading a consortium that will evaluate the trial of the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS). This independent evaluation has been commissioned by the Australian Government Department of Social Services (DSS).

The NILS-led team will monitor and evaluate the experience of participants, and their families and carers, service providers and their workforces in the trial sites of the Australian Capital Territory, Victoria, New South Wales, Northern Territory, South Australia and Tasmania.

NDIS Survey 2016

The NDIS Survey and the NDIS Survey for Families and Carers will be carried out in the coming months. Opt-out letters have been sent to potential survey participants advising them of the upcoming survey.

Registration packs will be sent out to the people who have opted to take part in the survey.

The registration pack includes information about the survey and the ways that the survey can be completed. The survey will be available in hardcopy, online and by telephone interview. Parts of the survey are also available in Easy English and these can be completed in hard copy form, online or by telephone too.
